Issue VI of Pigment International's award-winning magazine issue lands this September, and it is one of our most ambitious editions yet. Inside, readers will find a profile of designer Norman Teague, whose furniture and architectural work continues to reshape how Chicago sees Black craftsmanship. The issue also spotlights Chicago artists connected to the Obama Presidential Center, tracing how the campus is emerging as a new anchor for the city's creative community on the South Side.

At the center of it all is our feature on Glory! Glory!, the exhibition in which Black artists reimagine the American flag, a body of work that asks hard questions about belonging, patriotism, and whose stories the flag has told. Together, these stories reflect what Pigment does best: connecting artists, institutions, and audiences across Chicago and beyond.

Artists you should know in this issue include Wosene, Salome Jaffe, Jesse Howard and Estaban Whiteside; and get the backstory on the creation of the country’s only Black owned and operated fine art auction house CROWN Auctions.
