ASHRO ART CONTEST WINNERS ANNOUNCED

Works created by the winners of Ashro's Upward and Onward art competition Amuri Morris and Julia Ferguson

Ashro Onward & Upward Artist Showcase has named its 2026 winners under the theme Community. Amuri Morris of Richmond, Virginia, took the Grand Prize for Eternal Embrace, an oil painting about the bond of sisterhood. Morris describes the soft blue as a newfound serenity, with the women cloaked in each other’s arms. Julia Ferguson of Providence, Rhode Island, won the Young Adult Scholarship for Keep Dreaming, a work that holds both hope and doubt in one frame.
