KERRY JAMES MARSHALL IN PARIS

"Kerry James Marshall: The Histories" continues at the Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris, following its run at the Royal Academy of Arts and Kunsthaus Zürich. The exhibition features over 70 works, including new paintings exploring Black African roles in the transatlantic slave trade. Art travelers Munson and Christina Steed took in the exhibition in December.

  • Paris Venue: Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris (MAM Paris).

  • Exhibition Dates: September 18, 2026 – January 24, 2027.

UNBOUND: Art, Blackness & the Universe opened at MoAD during San Francisco Art Week. Curated by Key Jo Lee, Chief of Curatorial Affairs and Public Programs, the show invites visitors to reimagine Blackness not as fixed or earthbound, but as infinite—expansive, unknowable, and cosmically rich. Includes works by Rockford, Illinois native Harmonia Rosales. Pigment International’s Patricia Jones Blessman shares a photo from her trip.

The exhibition continues through March 1, 2026.
