McFly’s work captures ‘extraordinary people living ordinary lives’. His work “Goldie” shows the defiant pose of Goldie Williams who was charged with vagrancy, a broad law used to criminalize the poor and marginalized.



Honestly my expectation for this year is to have none. I want to continue sharing and embracing the world with my heart, without worrying about how the work is received, and trusting that it will find the right people and the right places. I’m manifesting more attention and opportunities for emerging artists who truly love the work and show up for it, because for many of us art is the only place we feel completely free.

As an emerging artist, I know firsthand that art does not always pay the bills. Staying disciplined and committed to something you are often paying to do for free, simply because you love it, takes real faith. The hope is that one day the work provides not just financially, but also mentally and emotionally, allowing life and creativity to exist in balance. This year I plan to continue to build healthy boundaries, create, share, help others, and give myself the care I need along the way.
